We're Heath and Denise England, founders and owners of TransAtlas Travel. We've covered a lot of miles together in nearly thirty years of marriage, both metaphorically and literally. How did we develop our passion for travel? For Denise, it began at age three in a preschool French class where she learned a few words and marveled at French culture and art, eventually leading her study in Bordeaux and complete a Master's degree in French literature. For Heath, travel began post-university with degrees in telecom and business, followed by over two decades building companies, traveling overseas and investing in international relationships.

As of 2026, Denise has visited twenty-four countries on five continents. Heath has visited twenty-eight countries on six continents (all he lacks is Antarctica, and he's got designs on it).

But, there's a special twist to this story, one that changed our lives and elevated global travel from interesting to essential: in 2002, we flew to Russia, where we adopted our son and daughter. We're empty nesters now, watching them thrive as young adults, pursuing their dreams.

Connection, community, communication...these are the elements that matter, that draw us to explore other cultures, to engage other communities, to embrace understanding. This is why we formed TransAtlas Travel.
